Change Process
What Is The Change Process?
APDS is a consensus-built international standard establishing a common language for data elements and definitions in the parking, transportation, and mobility sector that helps to facilitate seamless integration, compatibility, and communication between parking entities, the automotive industry, IT developers, map and app providers, as well as other stakeholders. The most recent version of the Standard (4.0) was released in 2022. Should an APDS user send a change request, this will be studied by an expert and, if approved, will be included in the next version of the Standard.
The mission of the Change Control Group
APDS is in the process of setting up a sustainable structure and organization, and one important element in this is the Change Control Group. The group implements and coordinates the Change Control Process and maintains APDS as an Active Standard. All changes to the APDS standard are subject to a formal change management process implemented and coordinated by the Change Control Group (CCG). The group meets every four weeks. Outside of these regular meetings, work is carried out on the tasks that have been identified.
Who is in the Change Control Group?
The Change Control Group is chaired by Markus Schneider (Plexx Digital) and made up of other representatives from the industry. In the core group, Marc Lebeau (Interparking), Aleix Martinez (Mitte), and Thiago Reale (Indigo). Jon Harrod Booth, Keith Williams and Mike Drow, authors of the current version, are supporters of the Change Control Group.
